Fresh London moneys amounting to £30.000,000 would have to be raised and the outlook was about as serious as it could be, but the financial position was sound. The meeting of the Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution that in view of the wheat shortage the export of wheat be stopped until the next crop is assured. The State Cabinet has decided to- guarantee growers 7s 6d a bushel for the next wheat harvest.
