ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
MISHAP TO AEROPLANE. GISBORNE, Friday. The first aviation display.at Gisbornc was marred by a mishap to [%i machine during the third passenger flight. When the machine was about 200 feet up in tlic air the petrol pipe burst, causing a stoppage of the engine and forced a landing which was skilfully effected by Lieut. Woods, the pilot. Noilher lie nor his passenger was injured, but slight damage was done to the machine.
