FIRE IN A BOOT FACTORY
DUNE DIN, Monday
A fire which caused extensive damage to the stock and machinery, was discovered at the Dunedin Boot Company's factory at 8.20 on Sunday morning. It had apparently been caused by a fire left in an open grate the previous evening. The damage to the building, which is owned by T. E. Shicl, is estimated at £2OO, and the damage to the stock of leather and machinery is estimated at £3OOO.
