GRADING OF TEACHERS

THE NEW REGULATIONS. Details of (he. regulations for the grading of teachers are now available. In assigning marks inspectors arc to he guided by the following comparative tables: — Very good to excellent (maximum 40), 35-40; (maximum 15), 13.15; (maximum 10), 10: (maximum 5). 5. Good: 30-34; 10.12; 8-9; 4. Very fair: 25-29; 8-9; 6-7; 3. Fair; 20-24: 6-7; 4-5; 2. Weak: 15-19; 4-5; 2-3; 1. Very weak; 10.14; 3; 1; 0. The quota of additional marks for which provision is made toy Regulation six for the respective groups is as follows; — For group 1 a quota of 10 marks, for group 2 a quota of 20 marks, for group 3 a quota of 30 marks, for group 4 a quota of 40 marks, for group I a quota of 50 marks, for group 6 a quota of 60 marks.
