CARPENTIER AND DEMPSEY
FIGHT LOCALE NOT YET FIXED.

Mr. Cochran, the English theatrical agent, says: “I have received a cable from DescampH stating that Carpentier will not consider any offer but mine. The Carpentier-Dcmpscy fight would draw more money in London than unit places in the United States. lan prepared to give Dempsey .'rime money 1 he will agree to eomo to 1 oiuba.” A message from Los Angeles states that Kearns, the manager for Dempsey, says the fight cannot take place at Tiajuana, Lower California, for many reasons. Kearns says it will probably be held either in London or Paris.
It was recently staled that Mr Cochran had offered Dempsey £41,600 and a ten weeks’ theatrical engagement at £IOOO a week following his signing of ttie contract.
