Longhlin, of Hamilton. • » • Mrs Bucklelon, 0.8. E., spent a few hours in Hamilton on Wednesday, proceeding to Auckland by the noon Main Trunk express. • * e Mr and Mrs J. T. Steel, who have for the past two years resided at Frankton, have returned to Karamu. * * * His Honor, Mr Justice Cooper, and Mrs Cooper and Mr and Mrs W. Turnbull, of Wellington, are visiting Mr and Mrs A. Cooper at Waitetuna. WEDDINGS. LEWIS—LEVIS. A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Peter’s Church, Hamilton, on Monday, 22nd inst., by Ven. Archdeacon Cowie, when Miss Margaret Levis, third daughter of Mr and Mrs R. JLevis, of Newstead, was united to Mr Dick Lewis, youngest son of Mr and Mrs Wm. Lewis, “Brynspeard,” Dorstonc, Hereford (England). The bride who was given away by her father, looked charming in a beautiful gown of ivory crepe do chine, and wore an orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a handsome shower bouquet. She was attended by her sister, Miss Minnie Levis, who was attired in a dainty dress of pale pink silk georfette, with hat and bouquet to match. lr R. ‘Levis, Junr., the bride’s brother, ably filled the position of best man. The bridegroom’s present to the bride and bridesmaid consisted of a neat and beautiful pearl and emerald pendant, and gold cameo ring respectively, while the bride’s present to the bridegroom was a silver shaving mug of unique design. After the ceremony the wedding party adjourned to the Theatre Royal, where the wedding breakfast was held, and the usual toasts honoured. A number of useful presents were received. During the afternoon the happy couple left Hamilton by train, carrying with them the good wishes of a large circle of friends for their future happiness and prosperity. The bride travelled in a neat navy blue costume and hat to match. The young couple’s future home will be at Waihou, near Te Aroha. GARDEN PARTY. Mr and Mrs A. B. Collier entertained a number of friends last Saturday afternoon in their beautiful grounds at “Killarney.’’ The visitors included;— Mrs Chainey and the pupils of her Whitiora private school in addition to a number of adults who assisted in the entertainment of the younger folk. Mr and Mrs Collier proved an ideal host and hostess. Pony rides, games, races, and various sports were indulged in, and a most delightful and perfectly organised function was enjoyed by all. A most liberal and prettily served afternoon tea was fully appreciated, and in conclusion three hearty cheers for Mr and Mrs Collier by the children terminated a most ideal little festival, amid mutual good wishes for the holidays for all who had shared the happy afternoon-
