In Mr Lloyd George’s New Year message to the nation, lie says: “It depends upon ourselves whether the New Year is rich with promise or laden with despair. As the concentrated effort essential to rebuilding the world by united effort inspires a spirit of general goodwill, so will the nation add to the glory aoheved by her sons in battle."
