VESTY’B AND THE MEAT TRUST, NOT CONNECTED. JUDGE EWING’S IMPRESSIONS. (United Press Association.) Received January 3, 7.45 p.m. DARWIN, Jan. 2. At the Commission, Judge Ewing stated that he had read correspondence between Vestys and various persons. Without committing himself by anything he might say, the impression left on his mind was that Vestys were not connected’ with the American Beef Trust, and also that there was no connection between Vestys and the- Government officers, excepting > that it was onec proposed to employ Dr Gilruth in certain investigations.'
