BOWLING

PROGRESSIVE PAIRS. Progressive pairs tournaments were played on both the Hamilton and Frankton Rinks yesterday. At both places there was a large attendance. At Hamilton R. Parr won the Leads and J. Niccol the Skips. At Frankton Fraser-Smith and Ewen tied fo» Skips, and in the play off Ewen secured the honours. H. Saridos won the Leads, playing excellently throughout. TE AROHA TOURNAMENT. Thirty-one teams competed in the above club's annual tournament, which opened on New Year's Day. The greens were in fairly good order, and the weather for the opening day was clear and bright.
