GALATEA WOMAN'S PETITION
Before Mr Justice Cooper, at Hamilton. yesterday, a young Maori woman named Bangiora Merito, of Galatea, sou-id -dissolution- of her marriage with Topio Merito, on the grounds of desertion and adultery. Petitioner, who was represented by Mr C. L. Mac Diarmid, gave evidence Unit she was married to respondent m lanuary, 1012. They lived together, nd ver'v happily, for a few months onlv when be left her and had not sinP ' returned. She had implored him to lake her back, but he had refused. Mr Mac Diarmid put in an affidavit s ; f r n ,.|| i>v respondent (who did not appear) admitting adultery A decree nisi was granted on the hdler grounds.
