DEMOBILISATION

PROBABLE SLACKENING OFF. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received Feb. 2, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 30. Demobilisation continues with the utmost activity at the rate of 38,000 daily. So far as the military organisation'is concerned, over 1,600,000 may be demobilised by the end of March; but as it is believed that 500,000 of those already demobilised are still -n----employed, the rate of demobilisation may slacken, if the Ministery of Labour decides that it is impossible to absorb workers.
