BRITISH AND AUSTRIAN DESTROYERS. THE ENEMY SHIPS FLEE. (Australian and N.Z. and Reuter.) Received April 28, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, April 27. The Admiralty reports that two if our destrovars on Monday encountered and engaged five Austrian destroyers in the Adriatic. The enemy fled for shelter under the fortified port of Durazzo, pursued by our destroyers, who were reinforced by five more British and one French destroyer. The chase continued until after nndnight, when we lost touch with the enemy. Our casualties Mere seven killed and nineteen wounded. It is unknown what damage was inflicted on the enem\\ (Admiralty per Wireless Press.) Received April 28, 5.5 p.m. IK)NDON, April 27. Austrian official: On Monday night cur destroyers advanced to Otranto Straits and seriously damaged an enemy destroyers in an engagement with light forces.
