Wm. H. PAUL. ■Extract from Waikato Times.) It may be said without fear of contradiction that the principal "mail benind the gun " in connection with such an immense undertaking" as the organisation of the Waikato Winter Show is undoubtedly the secretary— Mr W. H. Paul. Ktiicient secretaries, where comprehensive organisation and a smooth-working system, are absolute essentials, are born and not made on technical lines. It means untiring energy backed up with this innate gift, and in Mr Paul the Executive has the man who fills the bill, and who inciden-1 tally fills the bill, and who incidentally fills the coffers of this great industrial undertaking. It is unnecessary to enlarge upon the secretarial duties associated with such work, and only those in touch with the actual organisation and its working out, can at all appreciate what those duties entail. Mr Paul recognises the great value of judicious advertising, for without njieh enterprise the result cannot be a success. In this connection he has devised many novel methods, of placing the advantages ef exhibiting at ;u; I attending the Winter Show lie fere the public. Mr Paul was horn im Politypool, Monmouthshire, in and oaoie to New Zealand in 18!'*. Mr Paul settle;! .in Hamilton, where frr some time lie sti| e' vised the commercial side (if the Waikato Times.
