A BRIEF INTRODUCTION The Waikato Winter Show Association is an organisation devoted to the interest of the Farmer and the Public generally. Its purposes are Educational, Inspirational, and Entertaining. The main purpose, however, is to encourage the exhibition of Farm Products In all its branches, with the same relative consideration for the Commercial, Educational, and Domestic Interests of the Community. The live stock industry of Waikato is easily one of the greatest assets of this prosperous District and, realising these conditions, the Waikato Winter Show Association, which has at all times fostered and encouraged the betterment of this industry, have for the first time this year added a class to their Schedule. Entries Close MAY 4th, 1918 All Exhibits must be delivered at the Show Buildings and ready for Judging by 9 o'clock Monday Evening, June 3rd. Exhibits by rail must be at the Hamilton Railway Station not later than Monday Evening, 9 o'clock. The Association will arrange for receiving and forwarding Exhibits to and from Hamilton Railway Station and Show Buildings free of charge. Any Exhibit on which railway freight is unpaid will not be accepted. No cards or advertisements other than those of the Association will be allowed on the Exhibits. All Exhibits must be grown by the Exhibitor. When the quality is equal, the Judge will be directed to give the prizes where the Exhibit is correctly named. Blank tickets will be supplied by the Association. Any member of the Association interested in th's Section may, on the approval of the Superintendent, be added to the list of Stewards to asse-t at the Exhibition, on applying to the Secretary fourteen days before Hi • opening of the Exhibition. NOTE—AII roots must be thoroughly washed and trimmed, and four inches of green left on top. The Judge shall penalise where any attempt has been made to alter the natural shape of the Exhibit.
