ALLIES NUMERICALLY SUPERIOR TO THE BULGARS. BULGARIANS REPORTED TO BE EVACUATING GREECE. PARIS, September 1. A general advance of the Allies at Salonika, who, it is reliably stated, are numerically superior to the Bulgarians, is regarded as imminent. A Bulgarian communique states: "There is no essential change in Macedonia. Our troops have reached the positions assigned them, and are now consolidating the ground over which they have advanced. (United Service.) Received September 1, 9.5 p.m. LONDON, Sept. i. Mr Jefferies states that the Bulgars have apparently commenced to retreat from Greece. The Serbian cavalry arrived at Soravicevo, and the enemy were forced to evacuate Elevis, Caldzilar and Pateli. They attempted to retake Cordincevo, north-east of Banica, but were driven back, and are now reported to be marching en route for Monastir.
