The chairman referred to the 1 scheme of the directors in borrowing money and lending it to shareholders to buy dairy stock, which had proved a great boon to the small shareholders. The directors borrowed at 6 per cent., and lent it at 7 per cent., a sum of £7OO having been advanced in this way during the year. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. It was resolved to grant a bonus of £lO to the factory manager. Messrs W. C. Woodley and P. Rushton were re-elected directors, and Messrs English and Laxford auditors. It was resolved to recommend the directors to consider the advisability of installing a weighing machine, so that each supplier will get his fair share of the whey. TOWN BOARD. At the monthly meeting of the Town Board ther-.? were present: Messrs G. Howie (chairman), Marshall, Hewitt,* Parlour, Hickey, Gifford and Hanan. Mr Gilchrist, solicitor to the Board in the Native Reserve case, telegraphed that the case would be heard in Auckland on the 28th inst. Mr A. Bremner complained of a nuisance created in Studholme street be deposits of rubbish; the foreman was instructed to investigate the matter.
