FUTURE OF POLAND. GERMAN DOMINATION. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) PARIS, August 213. The Geneva correspondent of the newspaper Le Journal affirms that, owing to her recent disastrous defeats, Austria has renounced her pretensions to Poland, which falls to Germany. The latter proposes to annex the province of Suwalki, and the remainder will be incorporated in a new Polish kingdom, of which probably Prince Leopold of Bavaria will be king. A military convention is proposed to give Germany absolute power over the Government of Poland, while a commercial treaty will subordinate Polish interests to those of Germany.
