GENERAL SAKHAROFF'S BIG HAUL OF PRISONERS. AUSTRIAN AND GERMAN COMMUNIQUES. MOVEMENT OF TURKISH TROOPS THROUGH BULGARIA. Received July 28, 8.35 p.m. - T (Reuter's Telegrams.) PETROGRAD, July 28. A communique states that General Sakharoff between the 3rd and 12th captured 3i,000 prisoners, 45 cannon, and 71 machine guns. VIENNA, July 28. Official: Repeated Russian attacks between Radzivilov and the Styr broke down, the enemy leaving 1000 prisoners. A German communique states: The Russians made a futile storming attack at Schitschkara, north-west of Sjachowitshit. The enemy was sanguinarily repulsed westwards of Berestecko, on the Styr. ATHENS, July 28. A number of trains with Turkish troops passed Sofia to reinforce the Austro-Germans on the eastern front. RUSSIA'S BRIGHT PROSPECTS. ENEMY HELD AT KOVEL. HARD BLOWS DEALT OUT ELSEWHERE. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received July 29, 12.30 a.m. PETROGRAD, July 28. The news from all fronts continues to be of the brightest. General Brussiloff, having induced the enemy to make a great concentration to defend Kovel, is holding them there, and striking elsewhere with invariable success. In the Lutsk salient General Sakharoff is putting; in brave blows. His victory north of Brody is the most serious threat againsl/General von Bothmer's prolonged stand along the Strypa, although General von Bothmer is still assisted on his right ank by the fact that the Dniester is in flood. Great developments in Galieia are impossible until General von Bothmer falls back. General Sakharoff is now lighting for the fords of the small stream called the Boldurnovka, where the Austrians and Germarfc are making a stand. The battle has already brought General Safcharoff four miles nearer Brody, and has deepened the envelopment of General Pflanzer's army. In Bukovina the Russians continue to advance on Jablonitza Pass, over the Carpathians, and are threatening Cossack raids in Hungary. ERZINGAN UNDAMAGED. RUSSIANS SECURE MUCH BOOTY.
