When :war broke- out practically all vehicles and horses in use. throughout Great Bijitain were confiscated by the military : authorities, and merchants were left without adequate delivery facilities. Harrods, Ltd., the largest department store in London, immediately started tests of all available motorcars for the purpose of replacing those commandeered by the Government. These efficiency and economy trials proved that the "Overland" was best suited to the company's requirements. Twelve cars were purchased, and, after a month's practical experience, Messrs Harrods ordered nine more "Overlands," also a Willy's utility truck. Test the "Overland" yourself.
