Cadorna reports that the Alpini in the Monte Nero zone encountered considerable new forces of the enemy, apparently from Galicia. The Alpini attacked and repulsed them, inflicting heavy losses. The Austrian infantry at Plava renewed the night attacks, assisted by intense artillery fire and grenades. The inundations which the Austrians caused in the Monfalcone Canal are subsiding, but arc still a formidable obstacle.-
