THE FALL OF LEMBERG. ALL MILITARY STOKES REMOVED. Received June 24, 9.30 a.m. LONDON, June 23. The Daily Telegraph's correspondent at Petrograd, foreshadowing the fall of Lomherg, stated that the field works of recent construction have their value lessened by the densely inhabited zone in the rear. All the military stores have alreadv been removed from Lem-bei-g. MLNOR RUSSIAN SUCCESSES. Received June 24, 9 a.m. PETROGRAD, June 23. A communique states that our cavalry in the Shavli region burned a large enemy transport, put a powerful convoy to the sword, and annihilated several commandoes of chasseurs and mounted patrols. Our infantry in the Tenev region crossed the river and bayoneted a battalion. We repulsed desperate attacks north of Rawarusska, taking over 800 prisoners. We had an important success on the Dniester below Nizniow, our infantry storming many fortified farms near the village of Snowitourf, and capturing 3500 prisoners and many machine guns. The enemy retreated in full night across the Dniester. Our pursuit continues on the enemy's heels. The enemy is retreating at many other points in the Dniester region, where a further 1000 priosners were captured. It is semi-offieially reported that 4,000,000 Austro-Germans are between the Baltic and Bukowina, of which 2,000,000 are on a 100-mile front from the Lower Tenev to Mikolaieff, and 450,000 on the Dniester front.
GERMAN CAPTURES. FIVE SWEDISH SHIPS. Received June 24, 9.30 a.m. STOCKHOLM, June 23. Germany captured in the Baltic five Swedish ships bound for England with timber.
