BAY OF ISLANDS ELECTION.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. KAWAKAWA, Tuesday. Messrs George Gardiner Menzies (Liberal) and William Stewart (Reform) wen.' on Saturday nominated as candidates for the Bay of Islands seat nf the forthcoming by-election. Keen interest is being worked up in the contest. The Government candidate is being assisted by Hon. A. L. Herdman, Messrs F. Mantler and Gordon Coates, M.P.'s, and Mr Vernon Reed ex M.P. Mr Menzies is being assisted in his candidature by Sir Joseph Ward and Messrs W. 1). S.' Mac Donald, G. Witty and T. M. Hornsbv, M.P.'s.
