Sinking of the Triumph
JUBILATION IX GERMANY. SUBMARINE TRAVELS FROM THE NORTH SEA. LONDON, May 28. There is jubilation in Germany on account of the sinking of H.M.S. Triumph. The Berliner Zeitung predicts that the Allies will lie unable to maintain tlie Dardanelles campaign, and asserts that British losses at An Burnu were so heavy that they were compelled to ask for time to bury their dead. Captain Persius, the German naval expert, hints in the Tageblatt that the submarine which torpedoed the Triumph travelled from the North Sea to the Dardanelles. ON BOARD THE MAJESTIC. MR ASHMEAD BARTLETT'S ESCAPE. Received May 30, 11.10 a.m. LONDON, May 29. Mr Aslunean Bartlett was aboard the Majestic when she was torpedoed. He was saved, but lost everything. He proceeds to Malta.
