A sensational accident occurred on the Transcontinental Railway. Seventeen men were riding in the guard's van, which left the rails and overturned down an embankment. Two (Hall, the guard, and McKeown) wen killed outright, and two others (Brodrick and Kearney) suecumlied to their injuries. Nino wore injured, five seriouslv.
