MOTOR CYCLE CLUB.

EUN TO OKOBOIRE. At a meeting of Hamilton motor cyclists it was decided to 'form a Motor Cycle Club for the purpose of holding social runs and catering for the entertainment of riders.

Officers were elected as follows : Patron, Mr J. A. Young, M.P.; president, Mr H. Holcroft; vice-presidents, Messrs H. B. Jenkins, J. W. E. Bennett and E. Donovan; captain, Mr J. W. Mclntyre; vice-captain, Mr M. A. McKenzie; secretary and treasurer, Mr P. J. Coulthard; committee, the president, vice-presidents, captain, vice-captain and secretary. The club held its first run yesterday, the trip chosen being to Okoroire and back. About a dozen riders joined in the run, and a start was made from Vic-toria-street at a quarter to ten and Okoloire was reached at 1.45 p.m., after I calls had been made at Cambridge and Tirau. The roads were in fairly good order and, with the fine weather conditions, the run was very enjoyable. Lunch was served at two o'clock, and the visitors viewed the sights and sampled the waters of the resort both internally and externally. After being well treated by the host and hostess of the Okoroire hotel the tourists left on the return journey at 5 o'clock, arriving in Hamilton at 7.30, stops having again been made at Cambridge and Tirau. Members of the new club are confident that many similar tours can be arranged and hope to do a great deal towards popularising this method of spending weekends.
