The Earl of Aberdeen and the Lord Lieutenant are er: gaged in peace efforts.
The War Office is sending to Dublin, half of the railway corps from Aldershot to drive, if necessary, the troop and mail trains. The troops have been ordered to protect Shurnles and BaJlybrophy. 500 Belfast railwaymen resolved to strike to-day.
The directors to minimise the trouble will declare the passenger service unaffected
The Wexford branch of the Amalgamated Railwaymen unanimously condemned the executive for calling a general strike in Ireland instead of in the United Kingdom.
