The Manchester Unity Order 01 Oddfellows, in a strong manifesto against the Insurance Bill, states that Mr Lloyd George's amendments must be resisted at all costs or it will mean a long stride towards the destruction of friendly societies. SOCIETY SUSPENDED. (Received Sept. 19, 9.40 a.m.') LONDON, Sept. 18.

The Sunderland Co-operative Society, comprising 11,000 members, has suspended owing to the withdrawal of £24,000. The directors state that the Society is solvent.
