BANKRUPTCY.

MEETING OF CREDITORS. A meeting of creditors in the estate jof Louisa Agnes Emily Tyler, was held at the Hamilton Court House', this afternoon. In tbe aibsence of the Official Assignee, Mr H. Ross presided on behalf of the creditors, Mr H. J. Dixon, Departmental Official being also present. Mr ri. J. Gillies appeared on behalf of bankrupt, whose statement set out that she filed owing to a legal action in which he was sued on a promisory note, which she endorsed during her husband's lifetime. Up to the time of his death she kept a boarding-house >n Auckland, over which she lost money. The only asset she possessed was the furniture which s>he valued at £4(l. The liabilities were stated at £79. Tbe creditors decided to allow bankrupt to retain the furniture pnd to ask the Official Assignee to facilit'it? her discharge.
