Bank Robbery.

SAFE BLOWN UP. JANITOR SAND-BAGGED. (Per Press Association—Copyright.) VANCOUVER, Sept. 15. A daring bank robbery occurred at Newminster last 'night. Three armed robbers 'dug through the wail and Mew up the safe. They looted it of £60,000 sterling, and left £SOOO sterling lying about the floors in notes and go'd. A Chinese janitor who interrupted their work was sand-bagged and tied to a chair. The men escaped. The bank is close to the police station. STOLEN NOTES TRACED. EX-CONVICT SUSPECTED. (Received Sept. 18, 12.50 a.m.) OTTAWA, Sept. 17. A number of stolen bank notes have boen traced 'to Vancouver. The police are on the track of an ex-convict released from Newminster Gaol the day previous to the robbery.
