ENGLAND v. WELLINGTON,

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This day, Wellington made 211 and the -Englishmen 115 for 3 wicket* in the second innings. Williams, the local skipper, achieved a century, and but for him the total would have been very poor. He gaye two chances and was the last man out Monagban scored 17, Cobcroftl6, Mahoney 15, Hawthorne 11. May, who at one time bowled 13 overs tor 13 runs, took 3 for 35, Branston 2 for 69, Douglas 1 for 13 flavward 3 for 60, Burns 1 for 16. Burns with some luck, rattled up 59. At the Becond attempt Johnston made 19, and Branston is not out for 12. .The Eng&hmen were very unfortunate in the field, Douglas ricked his Bide bowling, and Wynyard strained his leg severely. Neither tide will be able to play this week. Torrens alao lamed himielf and had to procure a substitute.
