Mr J. C. Stanton, of the firm of Tidd ot Stanton, loft by this morning's train en route tor Chriscchurch, where he joins Mrb Stanton, and will remain them for a six weeks' h oliday.
Mr Camachan, relieving stationmaater on the section, is temporarily discharging the duties of the late Mr Crombie al the Hamilton station.
Mr P. St. Michael Podmore, of London, M.A. tCamb.) F K.G.S. etc., is at present ou a visit to H.iujiitoii. f|e is making a close stuuy 01 pcjsibilitiej of the district. Mr Podmore is the guest of Mr John Gordon, ac Kureka. Mr Podmore is the author of " The Sporting Paradise," a book which aroused attention some time ago.
