THE MILK SUPPLY.

NEW METHOD OF CONTROL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association,) WELLINGTON, December 4. An improvement has been effected in the old style of controlling the milk supply. Dr. Mason has received instructions from the Minister that the Agricultural Department will control everything in the byre. From that point, once the milk goes outside the dairy, it comes under the dominion of the Health Department, which has authority over cans, carts, railage and everything else connected with the milk till it reaches the consumer. As section 346 of the Municipal Corporations Act has not been repealed the local authorities have the same measure of control that they exercised formerly. This arrangement only concerns milk and meat consumed in the colony. It has nothing to do with goods exported.
