Greeuslade, M.H.ri., introduced a deputation last night from Cambridge, oonsißting of Messrs M. E. Gardiner, John Ferguson, and' Robert Morse on the subjeot of the site for the new Post Office. Mr Gardner said tenders were being otlled for the erection of the new post office. There was a difference of opinion as to where it should be. The present site was unsuitable and the majority of the people desired that the new building should be in tho centre of the town. Mr Gardner said if the Government could not get a suitable site nearer the oentre of the town ho would give them one for * shilling.

• Mr McNab said he would lay the matttr before the Postmaster-General. Of course it was outside hi* jurisdiction. The deputati' n then thanked the Minister and withdrew.
