PETAILS OF THE CAPTURE
LONDON, November 18.
The capture of Ferriera was effected by Sub-Inspector Adams with fifteen mounted rifle men and a few residents of Upington. The scene of the capture was Wittesand, seventy five miles west of Kimberley. A MARCHING FEAT. CAPETOWN, November 18. Ferreira was unarmed when cap•tured. An extraordinary marching feat was performed by the Cape Police and Mounted Rifles, travelling over waterless country. They covered 150 miies in sixty eight hours. WEARY AND THIRSTY. CAPETOWN, November 19. Ferreira's party was worn out and in want of water. A cordon of troops of a hunbred and fifty miles was drawn from the Orange River north to the Kurumann river. The fords of the Orange river were guarded.
