DUNEDIN RAILWAY STATION.
THE OPENING CEREMONY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The Premier opened the new rail' way station yesterday. He spoke of the development of the railway business and quoted figures to show its wonderful progress. He referred to the concessions made by the Government to the users of the railway and to the employees, also to the advantage of the state ownership and quoted a mass of figures to show the increase of traffic on the Blult-Hurunui line. Incidentally, the Premier said in respect to Wellington, that the Government had deferred improving the railway station because at some time in the future, * there must be a merging 'of the two services there and that meant that the Government would acquire the Manawatu line,
