SWELL MOBSMEN.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. Three well dressed men, strangers to Dunedin, have been arrested on a charge of obtaining .£l7O from an old mm named Joseph Dickenson by means of the " confidence " trick. They gave the names of William Henry Mitchell, William MoPherson and Patrick Ohferkuck. I'hey had on them about £IOO when arrested. All the men were drinking together and commenced wagering about a trick in which five pieces of paper were used. The thing was apparently so simple that Dickenson was induced to engage in the game. Before doing bo, however, he drew £166 wbich he had in the savings bank, making with £4 in his pocket £l7O. The four men then went to another hotel and it ,was not long before Dickenson's £l7O was in the hands of the trio. The accused will be charged to-day.
