Mr Greenslade, this afternoon, gave, notice to a«k the Minister of Railways whether, with a view to encouraging the proposed establishment of silicous brickworks at Ngarmwahia, with au estimated annual output therefrom ot' 1100 tons, he will take into consideration the desirability of reducing the loug ■ distance railway freight on bricks carried by rail a diatanoe of, say, 45 miles and upwards.
