From Our Own Correspondent. A m-etiug of the I'aterangi Farmers' Club was held in the hall on Wednesday evening, Mr 11. Kay occupjing the chair. A short discussion took when it was agree! to support the motions for the provincial conference, dtcided up >n by the Hamilton branch of the Farmers' Union. A painful accident happened co Mr Foster, of Ngaroto, one of the oldest sett ers in the district, who had the misfortune to break his thigh by a tail. He was admitted to the Waikato Hospital, where we hope he is progressing favourably.
A football match between the local and W hatawhata teams was to have been played at Paterangi on Saturday but as only three of the visitors put in an appeararce, a practice was all that could be had.
