(by electric telegraph-copyrigkt). Paris, June 28. The ex-Empress Eugenie sent a mes«. sage of condolence to Madame Carnot. Thousands of Italians are leaving France. Two thousand rioters have been ar« rested in Lyons. Santo will be tried on July 23.
Santo states that he had long watched for a chance to assassinate the President. It is believed that he belongs to a gang of international assassins.
It.is alleged that President Carnot's assassination was planned in London on the sth February, the day on which the Anarchist Vallaint, the perpetrator of the bomb outrage in the Chamber of Deputies on December 9th, was executed. Berlin, June 28. The Kaiser has delegated a Minister to attend the funeral. .
