FitOH Hie departmental revenuo rot urns for March, gazette I fur the first timu on record, the Tones has drawn up a tabulated stitoment of revenue for Hie year. The ordinary rjvnnim shows £1,219,535, against an estimated £1,015,800. This is £173,735 better than the estimate, and £135,750 above the previous year's income. Tho expenditure was £4,154,120. Tho dilferenco, added to tho surplus, £105,073, brought (orward from last year, gives a gross surplus «f £511,288. From this deduct £200,000, transferred to the Public Works Fund, and £25,502 deficiency in Land Fund, leaving a not surplus for tlio year of £252,781 i. Tho estimate far tho land revenuo was £!M,000, hut tho actual receipts aumunt-'il to £110,855, The only department of ordinary revenue which does not exceed tho estimate for the year- is territorial, in which there is a deficiency of £4700, The surpluses in each section of ordinary revenue for the year are, roughly stated :
