Sm,-No\v that the Waikato public has taken steps to commemorate the late Mr McNicol, I (and probably many more) would like to see the sporting fraternity of Waikato do something towards keeping the deceased gentleman's name green in their memories. The late Mr McNicol as a sportsman was proverbial, What I would suggest is that the Waikato Hunt Club or she South Auckland Kaciug Club should give a stake to be raced tor, to be called the "McNicol Memorial Stakes," to be restricted to bona fide hunters.
