KIHIKIHI.

Foot Bridge,—lt is proposed to put a foot bridge over the L'unui near tho crossing on the road to Te Ptihi railway station, which is a very short distance from Kihikihi, being almost a direct line. \>Ve are endeavouring to raise the cost of material by subscription, and contributions toward thu enterprise will be thaukfully received. A subscription list can be seen at Mr Elmsly s store. Native Land Court.—There is no appearance as yet of the further sitting of th« Native Luids Comt, which '4'im been said will return to Kihikihi. I have recently heard that wo are not likely to see it for two months hnnce.

Milk Factory.—lt seems that there will not be the quantity of milk at first that was expected for the creamery. There are plenty of cows but the majority will not come in for a few weeks. The conditions for supplying milk to the creamery are: — Prices to be given to the supplier for milk per gallon, for the first four months ending December 31st, 2|d; for the next three months ending March 31st, 2^d; the last two months end in? May 31st, 3d per gallon. Every supplier that commences to supply on the first day that the factory opens and continues to supply until the last day of May when tho factory closes for tho season will receive a bonus of a penny per gallon for the annual supply. Ten per cent, is the stardard of cream and for every one per cent, over that the supplier will receive one per cent, bomu. No milk will be taken under 8 per cent.; £0 per cent, of skimmed milk returned to the supplier. Every supplier is expected to use milk coolors; lOilb of inilk to the gallon. Church Services.— The Rev. Mr Mainward held Divine service in the Anglican Church last Sunday. It is to be hoped that the rev. gentleman will have sufficient inducement held out to him to cause him to reside in Te Awamutu, then we can look forward tochurchevery Sunday. At present, service is held only once a fortnight, our lay-reader having no one to take the alternate Sunday. It was rather annoying to a few la*tSunday evening being tho Sunday for service at the Presbyterian church, no second bell rang. It appears that the congregation was assembled for quite an hour waiting for the minister, and as he did not put in an appearance they dispersed for their homes. The Salvationits are trying very hard to conquer Kihikihi. They have held two or three meetings lately, but as far as I can hear, without any addition to their ranks. I would suggest the Hall as a place of meeting, the Wesleyan chapel being rather too far away.

Trn? Hounds.—'The Waikato Times of the Ist. instant notifies that we are to have the hounds here Again on the 7th. The Polo Club having arranged to hold a dance on the same night,so we are looking forward to a pleasant change. School Committkb.— I The next monthly meeting nt the school committee will ba held as usual at 7 p.m. on Wednesday next the 7th instant.
