Buckland and Sons' RkPORT.—At the Haymnrket during the past week hand-b:iund fodder has brought from 2s Gd to 3d Gd the cwt ; potatoes, £2 5s ; carrots, £1 5s to £1 8s the ton ; maize, 2s Id and 2s 2d ;oats, Is 10d to 2* 3d the bushel. On Friday horse stock were slow of sale.and several withdrawn, those sold were of late values : Hiding horses, from £5 to £12 ; aged draught, £7 to £10; young, active draught, €12 to £20 each. A sprint; cart, £12 ; set dcuble bugpry harness, £o, were the prices obtained. On Tuesday hides were without alteration in value : Medium to heavy ox hides were from 3d to 4%d ; cow hides, ljd to 2.Vd ; calfskins, id to 4£d the lb. Sheeui-kins sold well. Fresh skins brought from 3s to 4s 7d each. Consequent on the wet season the sales' at Pokenn on Monday and Drnry on Wednesday were very limited. The fat cattle yarded sold freely ; store cattle dull of sale and some young qalvoK unsold ; aged dairy cows at profit from 20* to 30s each of Mess values than at previous month's sale, but young cows were in good demand at late values. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows were dull of sale. Prices ranged from £4 7s Gd to £5 15a. Few store cattle yarded. Fat cattle in demand at last week's juotations —20s to 23s tho 1001b-100 sold. Young calves, in usual number kept their value. Sheep numerous —1219 yarded — were lower than last week from Gd to Is each. Aged ewes, near lambing, brought 7s Gd each ; fat longwoolled wothor.", 13s to 19s 3d ; cross-bred wethers, 11s to 14s ; merino wotheis, 7s Gd ; crossbred ewes, 9* to 12s 9d each. Horses: Dullness has characterised the market, although a demand for those of a good stamp has existed, ij.ircly an average number were entered for disposal by auction at tho Durham Yards on Friday. Competition for inferior lots was not keon, but most were eventually cleared. The quantities pitched were scarcely so large as usual, but the demand was brisker. Cattle have been brought forward in moderate numbers, and a steady demand has existed,, without noteworthy alteration in values.
