THE OHURA BLOCK.

It would appear from the following remark which fell from the Premier, in the course of an interview with the Auckland members, that there ie some difference of opinion as to the suitability of the Ohura Block for the class of settloment proposed, Mr Balktnce said .-—"The Government bad given orders that no time was to be lost in acquiring the Ohura Block, and a portion of it had already been purchased. Hβ was doubtful, however, whether the deputation were correctly informed a-t to the value of the land. He was informed that it was of a rough character, and scarcely the quality or kind of land suitable for 3inall farms."
