(liV TELEUKArH.— I'KESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Last Night. The Doric arrived from London this morning. Her passengers for Auckland are :— First saloon, Mosdames F. Barker and Clarke, Misses 0. Harrison, H. Kauisay and Wood, and the Ven. Archdeacon Clarke: second saloon, Mrs Dawson. Messrs J. V. Barton, J. S. Wilson and T. Pearson : steerage, Mr and Mrs Harley and four children, Miss Dawson and Mr Bramble. The Governor has consented to become patron of the Public Service Association when formed. The Wellington llacing Club's balance on the"year is .tills 3d. The report was adopted at the annual moetmg to-night. Several further improvements to the course are contemplated including formation of a training track. The President, Mr Thompson, said that in the course of 12 months the appointments would bo inferior to none in tlie colony. . The final payment m connection with the New Zealand Times was made last week. The Book debts approved by experts realised 71 per cent, of the total, and the job printing material left in stock was valued at (id per cent, of cost price.
