(BY TELEGRAPH—PKEKS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Last Night. At the Magistrates' Court to-day, James McKenzie, one of those locked out from the Petone Woollen Mill was charged with using uffensive language to one of the female operatives of tho mill as she was proceeding to work. The Bench of Justices said such intimidation could not be borne in this country, and bound accused over to keep the peace for six months. The first dog show under the auspices of the recently-formed kennell club, whs held to-day and was fairly attended. The entries are about the same as on former years, but there are more breeds represented, while the class of exhibits shows greater excellence. Christchurcb, Auckland, Nelson, Palmerston, Gisborne and Whanganui are represented. Mr W. C. Coop, of Melbourne, was judging. In the championship for terriers the prize was, for the second year, awarded to R. Triggs' (Shelford) Jack, H. N. Watson's (Gisborne) Joe, being second. The silver cup for the best New Zealand bred fox terrier fell to Charles Rowe's Lora. A deputation of Ministers waited on the Colonial Secretary to-day, to ask that some steps should be taken to check the spread of immoral literature. After hearing what they had to say Captain Russell promised to look into the matter and see what steps could be taken. The Shaw-Saville Albion Company's stoamer Marami arrived at Plymouth, on Wednesday last.
