OXFORD WINS. (3Y ELECTBIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT). London, March 27. In the University boat race, which took place to-day, Oxford won by a length. Cambridge wore the tavouiites at the start of the boat race, as much as !t to 4 being laid on the light blues. At Hammersmith they were leading by half-a-iength, and a desperate struggle ensued between the rival crews. Oxford gradually wore thoir opponents down, and at Barnes' Bridge had drawn half-a-length ahead. This distance was increased to a length by thi time the winning-post was reached. The water was choppy and tho day windy, which accounts for the time, 22in. 3-., tint being so good a-* w;is anticipifed.
