Lyons was the top scorer with 84, iucluding fifteen fours; Jarris, 37; Worrall, 27 ; Trott, 50 ; McDonnell, 45. September 18. The South of England in their first innings scored 174 runs, and will have to follow on. The principal ficorers were, Abel, 29 ; R. J. Key, 41; C. A. Smith, 44, and W. Cr. Grace 53. Bowling analysis: Turner, four wickets for 59 runs; Trott, four for 53, and Ferris one for 29.
