Melbourne, April 20.

The agitation against the French occupation of the New Hebrides continues throughout the colony. At the annual meeting of the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce, held yesterday, resolutions were passed protesting against the French annexation of the islands in question. A large public meeting was held last night in the Town Hall, under the presidency of the Mayor of Melbourne, at which resolutions of a similar purport were unanimously adopted.
