BOXING CHAMPIONSHIP OF AUSTRALIA.

A telegram has been received giving the result of ft boxing match which took place near Melbournt, on Monday, for £400 and the championship of Australia. The contostauta weve Farntn, a well-known boxer, and T. Lees, a son of Mr Lees, of Hamilton, Waiknto. Loes was formally teacher to the Melbourne Athletic Club. The parties had met before, and Lees wan the winner, after twelve rounds. Another match was made up, and £400 staked. Leei won easily in four rounds. The victor is a native of New South Wales, but has resided till lately in New Zealand.— Herald.
